I know this has been mentioned in other forums, but I've not come across a really conclusive answer (especially for the MGS5). But I'll accept the flak if I've missed it :)

I tried out the single pedal operation today and quite liked it, but several times when I was decelerating under regen the car behind me came a lot lot closer than he was when driving under traction. So the question is: when operating in single pedal mode does the deceleration have to be rapid before the brake lights operate? Also is this applicable to the manually selected regen modes (I've been using regen mode 2 up 'til now)?

Yep - you missed it.

Does high regen turn the brake light on?

Ah! thanks for that. The last link on your list summed it up nicely. Looks like a regen of -8% is about the trigger point. Assuming the same characteristics across all models.

Cheers....
