Replace tailgate button / Remove interior trim of the tailgate

Has anyone ever replaced the button for the electric tailgate on the outside of the tailgate? My button has slipped inside.

Or has anyone at least removed the interior trim of the tailgate before and can briefly explain to me how to do it?

I have the same issue, button gone. Warrenty will be replacing it when they bother to order the part.
