when you search on the Pirelli website for MG Cyberster, there is indeed a special version with "PNCS" and "Elect", loadindex W.

W rating because of 125mph top speed. But id still get the Y rating or top rating as the Torque is a lot in the car. Especially with dual motor.

Interesting, if you go through the UK Pirelli site you will not find this tyre, only the 102Y. If you go to the international site you do find the 102W.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of the 102W!?

I know you're looking 'just in case' @CyberNewbie, but first get down to Kwik Fit tomorrow, or whatever tyre depot is near you, and see if it can be repaired, then you'll know if you need to continue the search.

I will be looking at the repair option (I don't have the car at the moment) but I contacted Pirelli as the W rated tyre does not appear to be available in the UK.

Are you all sitting down. Pirelli's response was "Unfortunately, the Pirelli tyre fitted as original equipment for the MG Cyberster is currently unavailable. While we are working to make this product available, we do not anticipate stock in the near future." They directed me to the Y rated tyre which is available and provided link to Blackcircles.

Next question, if tyre is not repairable can you mix a W and Y rated tyre on the same axle?

I have heard back from MG, they advised that you can order the tyres directly from an MG dealership. You can also use Y rates tyres or W rated tyres as these are the speed ratings for the vehicle and does not seem to matter if you mix on an axle.

Should be no more than £300 fitted.
Therefore probably £450?

Just shy of £290 fitted. Big but, I have to wait until Wednesday before they can get hold of the tyre.

Where was the nail located? A lot of places will lie about repairability, especially on foam lined tyres, as they're often too lazy to do the more involved repair.

The car was at the MG dealer. I asked them if it could be repaired, I took them for their word.
