Replacing Door

Ah it’s not as big as that. More the size of a basket ball. It’s a lease car so that complicates the issue. My lease contract says it has to be MG approved.

If they do a great job and you cannot tell, does it matter. Or is it an insurance paying job.

Thanks. I’ll keep researching and look into pdr and other body repair shops.

Have considered trying to locate a complete door assembly ( in colour ) from a dismantler ?. If the door is in colour and 100% complete, then switching over is possible in a couple of hours ( or less ).

Why not just get a few quote from local panel beaters, doesn't need to be MG approved. Replacing the door still leaves the other panel damaged.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Went to another body shop repair today. If I can source an mg zs replacement door in the same colour then he can do the rest.

I’ve found an MG ZS 2024 (petrol) passenger door frame. Does anyone know if it will fit for my MG ZS 2023 (EV)?

The ZS model was first designed to be a petrol model, then electrified at a later date.
Both body shells are the same, so I expect that the door shell assembly is the same ?.
Of course the petrol model is likely to have a different internal trim or may, or may not have electric windows etc.
Externally the window strip may need switching over if it is of a different colour to yours.
If so, these would need switching over from your original door and onto the replacement.
You could always call a dealer and ask them for the part number of a door for your car, then ask if the part number is the same for the petrol model ?.
If it is a perfect match then you are 100% certain !.
