Mine doesn’t need replacing as the car is only three months old, but I have tried to open it so that I can do it when the time arrives and don’t want to force it.
Well yes, it was. Getting the emergency key out was straightforward but I’m reluctant to just put a screwdriver or blade into the key to split it as shown in the handbook to expose the battery. The illustration seems to show something round being inserted. You have a different model car and the key is not the same as that for the HS.
I’m very pleased with the car which I bought from F J Barnes in Canterbury at the end of July 2021 and the transaction was quick and easy. I have a Rolec charger. My last two vehicles were Freelander 2 SD4’s which were faultless but decided to change from diesel. I’ve not been disappointed.
