Last week I had my Gen1 ZS treated.

After much deliberation, I decided to get it done by a specialist, rather than DIY with Lanoguard due to having back issues.

I'm glad I did, the guy did a very thorough job, had the right equipment and many years of experience.

On arrival we got the car up on the ramp and he showed me round all the areas as they were now and what he would be doing.

Fortunately the first owner had treated the car with waxoyl in places such as the grommets for the assembly jig. Overall there wasn't any rust that was visible which was a good thing.

However there are places that would start to suffer, aside from all the suspension etc that is just painted. The rear wheel arches for example have something from the factory but the final inch before the arch is just painted.

The process was roughly (and I will probably miss things):

Cover car with dust sheets to prevent any overspray.
Remove wheels.
Remove all wheel arch liners.
Thoroughly clean underside.
Remove grommets.
Mask things like brakes, engine bay.
Dry.
Apply protection to underside, cavities etc.

I was again able to see the car after treatment before everything was put back, it looked very neat and thorough.

In the past I have had cars treated with Waxoyl which did the job but had quite a smell which lasted a long time.

Bilt hamber was recommended as it works better on newer vehicles which don't have corrosion, it's a brown colour and has much less odour which stopped quickly.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures.

Overall I am glad I had it done and highly recommend this place.

This is good and I like it!
One thing worries me which is warranty not that you would probably need to claim after that work but if you have to make a rust claim would they throw it out?
Saying something like it's your fault for putting all that stuff under your car
Please don't think I am crappy about this I have done it my self to many a car but you did not get rust warranties like you do now

Am I too late for this........
