Sat Nav Recalculating Route

Hi my sat nav regularly recalculates the route a few times during journeys. Are others having this issue?

Yep. I'm having issues with mine that I detail in another post about Sat Nav start up. Mine often tells me to turn, then instantly thinks I haven't and recalculates the route, then does it again when it realises I have gone the correct way!

Im still having issue with my sat nav regularly recalculating routes. I have looked at the GPS information and it says 7 satellites available and accuracy average. Is this the same for everyone else?

Put a postcode for staffordshire in my sat nav yesterday and it kept coming up with addresses in Austria tried today and it worked correctly

My Sat Nav is still playing up, mainly with the issue of starting up and showing an old location until I move, but it also has low, poor or average satellite coverage. MG are convinced they can fix this, and have had the car in for 16 days now in total, but nothing has changed anything yet!

I tried to love the fitted sat nav, but it fails miserably in most departments, particularly as it is not updated over the internet daily. Such is the benefit of Android Auto or Google maps, which do just that. I use Android Auto all the time, as it shows live traffic, so I can see exactly where any holdups are on my route. At the press of a button I can also advise google of incidents I come across on route. The only gripe I have is with google not making more of the speed camera warnings, which are weak and a bit erratic on some locations. I can't comment on Apple car play as I never use it.

We use Apple car play now a lot, but weirdly the GPS signal suddenly has be driving accross fields and not on the road I am on! It takes ages to suddenly decide where I am. Using waze often has the screen spinning round as it can't work out which way I'm going at slow speed!

I still want the SatNav sorted though, as I think at least it should work correctly, if indeed being basic!
