Are there any updates to the sat nav as it's very out of date with speed cameras etc?
Agh, I see it is PC only for MGS6. Not helpful.According to Gemini AI
MG navigation updates are primarily managed via the Naviextras Toolbox using a USB drive to download maps and transfer them to the vehicle. Most modern MGs (ZS EV, MG4) receive 5 years of free updates from the warranty start date. The process involves preparing a USB in the car, downloading updates on a computer, and reinstalling.

- Download Maps: Insert the USB into the computer, open the toolbox, and download the latest maps.
- Install in Vehicle: Insert the USB back into the car, go to Settings > System > Map & VR data USB upgrade to complete the process.
For specific, up-to-date information regarding your model, it is highly recommended to visit the official MG Motor map update portal.

- Free Updates: MG offers 5 years of free map updates, starting from the vehicle's warranty start date.
- Troubleshooting: If updates fail, contact a local dealer.
- Alternative: Some users advise using the USB port located under the central screen for the best results, as seen in this YouTube video from a user: ZS EV/MG4 Navigation Update guide.
I agree. I use a Chromebook so It's no good for me either. I'll stick to using Google maps.Agh, I see it is PC only for MGS6. Not helpful.
Interesting really that other models are supported, you'd think it would be same apps for all.I agree. I use a Chromebook so It's no good for me either. I'll stick to using Google maps.
This is where AI is kind of useless. The newer models aren't supported by Naviextras (MG4, MGS5, MGS6)Interesting really that other models are supported, you'd think it would be same apps for all.
I bet I can guess the response from the MG dealer when you ask for the sat-nav to be updated and it won't be a positive reply. After multiple emails back and forth with Naviextras, I finally received this email from their support dept:

Thank you for your feedback and please accept our apologies for the long response time.
Based on the provided information, we would like to inform you that, as requested by the manufacturer of your navigation system, your navigation device model is not supported by the Naviextras map update solution anymore.
