New MGS5 How do you save preferences? Want to set regenerative braking to strong (as in my ZS), adjust in 'settings' but doesn't save when I exit. Must be a save button or something somewhere?
Also want to darken the main screen - as it stands, not very legible for nav section. Can't find brightness controls?
Help please

The 'MG Pilot Custom' saves various settings, but I'm not sure if it saves the regeneration setting.

If you go to Settings and select MG Pilot, 'MG Pilot Custom' is at the top of the screen.

You can't save the regen setting - the car defaults to "1" (low) on every startup. In other threads, some MG4 owners report that it's remembered for them so perhaps MG will issue a software update to allow it on the MGS5?

MG Pilot Custom saves by long-pressing the icon in the top-right of the MG Pilot screen (you'll get a save confirmation). If you drag-down on the screen, you can quickly reinstate those saved settings from the quick menu.

On a side-note, the satnav/GPS speed warning (the female voice that "speaks" the speed limits) can be disabled and is remembered.

Ah, I asked this question on another thread, but maybe here makes more sense.

There are a plethora of settings that get lost from use to use. Driving Mode, Custom settings, One Pedal Driving to name but three, but also loads of less relevant things like Hill Assist.

But the one that really annoys me is that if I get out of the car with R4 on DAB, I expect to get back into the car with R4 on DAB, not Gospel Rock on FM. Why would they not save that.

Although MG Pilot goes some of the way, I am quite annoyed by how much stuff I have to set up every journey.
