As I said mate. The entire thing is totally out of order.
Many years ago we were encouraged to purchase diesel cars. Then when many of us did so. All of a sudden diesel became more expensive than petrol. Which was never the case prior to a big take-up of diesel ownership.
But IMHO that pales into insignificance compared to the betrayal of EV owners.
Especially those that were the first adopters of EV tech. They paid through the nose for their vehicles But had the (small) kickback of free road tax.
Then the government pulled the rug on that. And from April 2028, we could be getting another kick in the spuds?!?
I'll do so few miles per year in my HS it really won't matter. But anyone doing 10k+ per year might live to regret owning an EV/PHEV?
