Year 1 - £235

Year 2 - £528.40

Year 3 - £426.42

Year 4 - £1171.28 with fuel filter

Year 5 - £464.56

These seem somewhat inflated. Not in a high labour rate city..1st service oil / filter change and a sump ring..£235.It only takes half hour for oil change.

£2825.66 to service the car for 5 years!!!!! I am used to paying that amount for a whole car and running it for five years. A service for me is £30 of oil and a £10 oil filter and £10 air filter from eBay.

My dad is a retired mechanic, he would disown me if I told him I had paid that to a main dealer. I have been toying with the idea of buying one for months now, but if those are the service prices then that is a no from me.

Yes I totally agree. The car drove very well but when I enquired about servicing, salesman was very vague!.I'm happy to cough up a reasonable main dealer charge but these are mental.
That's why you dont see any free service plans with their new cars.Just had 3 years free on my Hyundai.i20 MEH.Think I'll look for a normal aspirated engine.

The car does drive very well, and definitely punches above it's weight price wise. I have been offered a new White Trophy in the past for £16,700, and there are loads of pre registered cars out there for between £16 and £17K. The number of pre registered cars suggests to me that they are not exactly flying off the shelves.

Obviously I would want to get the car serviced at a main dealer for the warranty, but to way would I be paying nearly £3K over 5 years to service a £16K car.

What exactly are they doing for £3K? The engine has a timing chain, so there won't be a cam belt service.

What a rip off.

I took out a 3 year service plan for my Trophy with local MG dealer Unity Automotive, when I purchased it in May 2025. I pay monthly and it totals £1036.80. Included is a years MG Assistance after each service.

Yes but it's three years only. The 4th year service is rediculous.Or you may sell before it comes around.
Their charges are not comparable to other brands.

The reason it's that expensive is MG UK , give you a bag of characteristics to go with the car 🤪 and first class customer care 😉 , personally I would trade it in before the Fourth service.👍

Still seems a lot, just under £350 a service
