Service year 5 price shock

Just had my 5th year service which has cost £275 before VAT - this is four times as much as the 4th year service and the checks are identical. Would like to know where all this extra cost has come from.

This is a low mileage service and another thing that puzzles me is that the maintenance sheet seems to be a check list for 1st year so most checks are blanked out? This was the same for year 4 so checks on things like the SOC and SOH I’ve never seen as these are blanked out. This is a gen 1 MG ZS EV. Are they using the wrong form or am I missing something here. I would like to add that I have a high regard for this dealership and will be questioning them on this.

Both SOC and SOH should be filled in on all service sheets. Did you check the price with a different dealer?

Thanks for that info, will check why this wasn’t done. Didn’t check as pleased with dealer so far also live in fairly remote rural area and dealers few and far between.

Strange, per the service manual the fourth service should be the most expensive.

They change both brake fluid and battery coolant at year 4 as far as i remember.
