So my other post today was about my 12v battery showing 12.5v when i srart the car after a full charge.
I contacted MG in Basildon and they qupted me £315 plus £175 to fine out why my battery is showing 12.5v .
I then phoned MG in Southend told them the issues and got a quote of £175 . MG Basildon are a con.
Rant over.

Where this occurs, the diagnostic fee is normally conditional on the cause of the fault being non warranty related. In your case, I can't see any obvious reason why it wouldn't be covered by the warranty if the car is in READY mode and you are not seeing a charging voltage (typically 14V+).
The fact that your car had just completed a traction battery charge is not actually relevant.

Update on my service.
I went to MG in Southend after they quoted £164 for the 3 yr service( MG Basildon qupted me £310).
When i arrived they took the car into the workshop and then told me the service would be £1300. The reason was because it is a Taxi. Please all comments appreciated.
TIA

Anyone know of an independant garage that could do a 3 yr service on an mg5 with 155000 miles.
Looked at Mr Clutch anyone used these?

The main thing to watch are the condition of the coolant fluids and basic wear and tear.
Once the car is out of the useful warranty cover ther seems little point paying Stealer fees ?
