Smart app upgrade, I am unable to preheat car anymore.

Since having to upgrade the Smart app. When I use the front windscreen defrosting option. It just blows cold air.
Does anyone know how to change this to blow hot air?

Use ac blowing, it clears all the windscreens and heats the car up. Front window defrosting appears to be buggy.

Just tested it make sure your phone is on 4G works here no issues

On the new app, the default fan speed is just "3". The old app fan speed was "max", 7 IIRC.

Edit - no frost here but just set the HVAC via the app at max temp.. Let it run for the 10 minute period and according to the app, cabin temp went from 4 to 14 degC, not bad, it'll do.
More interestingly, on switching the car on, the fan was on "auto", "7" and 28 degC on the HVAC display.
How this will deal with a frozen windscreen remains to be seen but ATM, it's better than nothing.
