Smart watches/ Carplay Android auto/phone quest

Perhaps someone who has experience of using a Smart watch tethered to their phone, and whether there are any issues when your phone is then connected to your car with a wireless dongle, thereby using Carplay/Android. Is there any interference with anything?
I was considering a smart watch, although not a Apple watch, but it struck me whether there could be issues when in the car with in my case:-
Apple iPhone12 connected wirelessly to my car using Carplay, whether I would have issues.
Sorry to make it sound so complicated, but not sure how to easily explain.
Be warned if you buy a smart watch from a high st retailer, and you have issues, most retailers won't allow you to return for the above problem as its not a fault with the watch!

We faced no issues with iPhone + Apple Watch + wireless CarPlay, tested on another car, though.

What wireless dongle do you have? I've just tried one I got from Amazon but it uses bluetooth and wifi which then causes problems disconnecting and reconnecting to the house wifi as it's still connected when on the drive. I need a bluetooth only connection.

I'll have to dig out the box, it was a generic Amazon one. Mine the same, but as soon as you drove away from the house it connects. I doubt you'll find a Bluetooth one, probably not enough bandwidth.
