So many MG5 taxis in Shanghai

Hello folks, I am sat here having breakfast in a hotel in Shanghai enjoying watching the traffic on a fairly busy main street and I’m amazed at the number of MG5 taxis here under the Roewe brand.
I’m not kidding, at 9:30 am, I’m seeing one every minute or more.
ICE vehicles have blue number plates. BEVs and HEVs have light green plates.
