How do I find out which software number do I have? I found it before when I was on R33 but I cannot find it now (I have probably forgotten where to look) DOH!
I asked for it and still didn't get itMy SE SR will be 2 years old in January 2025 and the infotainment is still at R13. So should I expect it to be updated to R33 when it goes in for the 2 years service?
And if I have to ask for this, should I expect to be charged for it?
That is much appreciated. I will remember that.Complain about Bluetooth pairing issues? That's what my dealer put on the paperwork a year ago in order to give me 1100R33 at MG's cost.
Or complain about the lack of ability to quickly and safely turn off LKA when necessary (as per MG's manual), something that 1100R33 enables? (It's quicker and easier to pull down on the screen and tap a single toggle - then tap the confirm prompt - than it is to try and find the option in the normal menus).

Same here and dealer claimed there was no update to my R13 despite the fact I had told them Android Auto did not work properly (no audible navigation on Google maps or Waze when using the radio but working with streamed music).I asked for it and still didn't get it![]()
You couldn't make this shit up if you triedI had a very similar experience. I begged them practically with tears in my eyes to apply R33 last April. I more or less set it to music and presented it as a song-and-dance act. I gave them about half a dozen problems (reported to them the previous year) which I knew R33 fixed.
They didn't do it. They let me go out to the car and find that out for myself. Then we had something of a stand-up fight, with a guy standing next to a poster declaring that happy customers were their reason for living, coming out with a string of implausible backside-covering excuses. Added to that a load of patronising drek about why did I want a flat undertray anyway and MG wouldn't do anything.
They booked me in again to have the update. I sat in their waiting room for about three hours, then the technician came out and said he had hit a problem (the system thought the car was being upgraded from R21, not R13) and he couldn't do it.
Fast forward some more and I made another fuss and they booked me in again for September, saying they wanted the car all day so they needed a day with a courtesy car available. Some time in the interim they sent me an email confessing that the undertray fix was now available and they'd do that at the same time.
So finally. In September. Nearly a year after the update was available. By that time the charging port lights had gone, and I had to be booked in again for this coming Friday to replace these. So they can bloody well fix the forgetful left star button while they're at it.
If all that goes to plan, they will never see me again. I will tour MG dealers if necessary, having a conversation about customer service, till I find one with the right attitude. I think Central Garage Galashiels is the first port of call.
