In my opinion the problem with the DAB radio is the aerial, or lack of it. How can two lines at the bottom of the rear window get a consistent signal? Someone needs to develop an add-on aerial.

My old Ford Focus had a DAB radio that used the back window but it used a box of tricks so it used all the heating elements as the aerial.

My biggest beef is radio management. How the radio behaves at startup is apparently random, at its worst giving me very loud rock music from somewhere near the bottom of the FM spectrum.

Also, the whole radio UI is pants.

A tiny thing I'd like changed would be to put the ApplePlay icon on the right of the screen for RHD cars.

But generally the software works.

I agree with you. At one point the favourites appeared on the right of the screen, but then reverted to the left. Also mine changes channels at random !

i have the base variant, referred to as the MGS5 comfort variant in my country, with 49.1 kwh battery, and the wireless apple carplay or android auto doesn't work. And the software version is R nothing, and it has not been serviced, will the issue be fixed by dealer service? I'm sure these things are supposed to run Carplay/ A Auto wirlessly or i hope they do. Heres my software version. Any thoughts?

Your software versions have no resemblance to those in the UK so I'm guessing they are specific to your area.

You'll need to tell your dealer that wireless Carplay/AA doesn't work and ask them to update the software.

You might have done this already but... I think with AA you have to set it up via a usb cable first before connecting via wireless. ?

i use apple carplay, wired works. wireless doesn't. it tries but fails.
