Sorry , another quick question guys/ gals. I have been offered an unused 18" space saver wheel from a 2016 vw tiguan. It appears to have correct hub centre hole diameter and 5x112 stud pattern but has et offset of 27.5 . Has anyone got an official space saver spare to check or knows the exact offset . Once again , many thanks.

The standard rim on the Trophy has an offset of +44 according to the fitment guide we used to consult at my old job. I love how they haven’t changed their password since I’ve left.

I suppose having less offset will be fine, considering the space saver rim will be much narrower than the standard rim. Will you be able to test fit before you buy? There have been cases noted where certain VW rims would clear the rear brakes but not the front (or the other way around).

Edit; found the post talking about this:

Which MG4 do you have? It doesn't say in the 'driving' section any more

No thats the problem , I was offered this wheel now but don't get the car for a couple of weeks. I had this issue before with a mini. Lots of wheels had the same stud pattern etc but when you tried to fit them they caught the brake caliper, sometimes front , sometimes rear.

MG4 SE = 17" rims as standard. So an 18" space saver is almost certainly fine, as long as the overall diameter of the wheel is close enough to those of your standard wheels.

Strange data has disappeared! Its an Mg4 se
Others will know details but I think the SE has the smallest callipers so most likely to be ok.

I can't say for sure, but I've been driving round with a second hand Tiguan spare in the boot just in case of issues. Haven't managed to check to confirm that it definitely does fit!
