Speed Assist System keeps switching from Auto to OFF — any idea why?

Hi guys,
I’m having an issue with my MG HS PHEV — the Speed Assist System won’t stay in Auto mode.


When I set it to Auto, it stays on for a few seconds, then switches itself back to OFF.
I’ve tried enabling it while stationary and also while driving, but it always cancels itself.

Everything else works fine — road sign recognition, lane assist, etc. — so the front camera seems okay.
Has anyone else faced this issue or found a fix? Could it be software or firmware related?

Thanks a lot. I figured out now..Cruise Control is preventing it from turning on.

Yes, it seems ACC must be turned off, I'm pleased you've figured it out.
