Has anyone else noticed that the speed limiter function no longer needs to be re-selected from the screen every time the car is restarted? (or indeed, was our car the only one this happened on previously?) Historically, the speed limiter has been a proper PITA to use because it had to be reset every time the car was powered off. However, all of a sudden a few weeks ago we turned the car on and the speed limiter icon pinged onto the dash without needing to initialise it .... All we ned to do now is set the speed as we are driving.

It's never done this before and unless the cars now magically support OTA updates I can't understand why it's started to do this - this is great BTW, it means there is no now longer a requirement to remember to turn the speed limiter function on before leaving.

Looks to me that you have the stalk pulled forward and that is cruise control not the limiter, much as I would like it to be the limiter.
I agree looks like bottom stork isn't push all the way forward as distance control is illuminated

There is a speed limiter, from the Owners Manual Page 228:-

Intelligent speed limit: The vehicle detects a speed
limit sign (as shown above) at the roadside with the
front view camera. The speed limit sign identified will
be displayed in the instrument pack. The system will
automatically intervene and maintain speed control to
keep the vehicle speed within the permitted maximum
speed limit. A visual warning will be utilised when over
speed.

Speed assistance system setting
The operating interface for the speed assistance system
is located in the infotainment display. Enter the MG Pilot
interface to locate the speed assistance system option to
find the setting interface for the speed assistance system:
1 Touch the corresponding button on the infotainment
display to turn the overspeed alarm function On/Off.
2 Touch the corresponding button on the infotainment
display to select the speed assist mode: intelligent
speed limit, manual speed limit.
