Squealing Brakes

Just wondered if this is a common problem. My brakes have started squealing just before stopping. Happens in both directions. I use KERS on Level 3 most of the time and got used to this so brakes not used as much. Car just under 2000 miles. Think I might need to get in touch with the dealer.

no, just brake a few times firmly, the attack on the brakes then disappears like snow in the sun.

@Les burrows has been struggling with a rear brake pad squeal on his MG5.
I am not sure if he has a fix as of yet.
Maybe Les can give you a update on his progress.

I'm not a 100% sure but I think it's rust on the disks the rear one's seem to be more prone to it. My cars done in once reversing then it cleared it's self.

Sounds like it's coming from the front. Good for warning pedestrians. Will try stamping on them tomorrow to see if it helps. Got a long journey coming up and worried about damaging discs.

Use 'em or lose 'em, as they say. Give them a good workout now and again to keep them clean.
