Steering Wheel Wear

Attached is a phot of my steering wheel. Car is 2 years old, with only 9,000 miles. The wear appears to be reaction to the sunlight. Dealer has just told me "warranty for interior is one year".

I am about to start my complaint to MG about the Consumer Rights Act, - Goods must be fit for purpose, of reasonable quality, and last a reasonable period of time - etc.

Have any other owners experienced this premature wear? Have you complained? Did you get the wheel replaced?

First time I have seen this on any where, you probably have to prove this is from the sun by having a reported done by a independent manufacturer of covers. This could be a job for Johnathan venon-smith consumer program on 3 county radio which is on between 11am and 12.30pm Monday to Friday who will help you with the dealer. If you do go to him please let’s us know as cand listen on BBC sounds.
