Strange phone signal

Hi, new owner of an MG S5 as of 2 weeks ago,
Loving it so far, I do have an odd issue though that when I'm using the phone via Bluetooth or Android Auto sometimes the calls are sounding great, sometimes the caller sounds like a Darlek and sometimes the signal just cuts out altogether after a few seconds, I don't think it's to do with where I'm driving at the time because it happens in random locations, some urban some not.

I'm not sure about the "Dalek" problem - my experience is that this can occur at any time, without warning, and not exclusively when using a phone in a car - but the cutting out of the signal is something that I have experienced in my S5 (my previous MG5 suffered no such problem). If you do a search in the forum you will see this is something encountered by other S5 owners; various possible solutions have been suggested. I haven't tested any of them since I don't make, or receive, many calls whilst in the car and those that I have received recently have been fine!

I often have an issue I call it 'going banjo' with calls heavily distorted when on BT, only happens on BT so I assume that's to problem.
