Strange strap

Does anyone have an idea what this strap does? It’s next to the battery and it’s attached to the chassis leg can’t see the point of it.

Looks like a battery tie down tether. If that's what it is it should be attached to the battery.

Not noticed one in mine but will have a look later.

If it's not holding anything, probably best to remove it as it'll be one less thing to cause problems.
