A heat-pump system would definitely be more efficient, but also way more expensive.

Agreed - But whats the cost of a Heat Pumped version of the MG4 in say Norway in comparison to the same trim Heat pump less car in the UK .. - Our Leaf had a heat pump..

Unless its within 2k of the mg5 i will stick to the mg5.
