Hello all, seems like my first post on the forum will be a cry for help! 
I picked up a second hand PFL LR 2022 last night, as part of the purchase the local MG dealer I purchased it from upgraded the software to allow use of the Tesla Supercharger network so my first port of call was to Tesla Centre Exeter to test charging using one of their v4 Superchargers, I had an issue where although I could start charging I couldn't stop it, despite selecting to end the charging session via the Tesla app and wondered if anyone had any similar experiences?
Already been combing the Tesla Supercharging support threads and haven't seen anything that looks like the error I encountered.
Just as a bit of context I've been using the Tesla Supercharger network on other EVs quite a lot recent with other non-Tesla EVs, so I don't think this has been caused by user error when using the Tesla application, I suspect there is either a knack to using the MG5 on Superchargers that I need to learn, or possibly a bit of a failure between the MG5 and Tesla Supercharger platform.
Sequence of events was I connected the car to the supercharger and started the charging session via the app. Car started charging fine albeit it was slow to start the charging session, for comparison MG5 took about 90 sec to start and complete the handshake, whereas my other half has use of a Grandland EV that starts and completes the handshake in less that 10 seconds.
Car was at around 90% so charging wasn't fast and I only wanted to confirm it was working by popping a few kw on over 5 minutes or so. Left it 5 minutes to charge then ended the session via the Tesla app, which told me it was complete after about a minute of thinking about it, however the charger kept going with now no option to stop from the app.
Tried stopping charging via the car (lock and unlocked via key multiple times, including long presses), couldn't find an option to stop charging from inside the car and Tesla support were now closed for the day, so my only option was to go under the bonnet and pop the emergency cable release which obviously solved the problem.
I work in IT security and product testing so did a bit of thinking on it, my suspicion is that possibly the MG5 is a bit slower at communicating and maybe caused some sort of timeout glitch between the car and charger when the charger tried to halt the session, that the Tesla charger and mobile app then didn't handle well.
I'll be ringing Tesla support later to see if they can shed any light on it, but has anyone on here had any similar experiences to this or have a tried and tested sequence of avoiding rapid charging problems?
