Most of the big supermarkets nr us now offer EV charging and it's free at some - this made me smile somewhat when I rolled into our local E.Leclerc yesterday morning though .....

Nope, no limits. A friend summed it up: "Well, it's France innit?"

Yes there is, I know, I needed a big charge, BUT, I had to wait 3/4 hr to connect, the shopped, and waited until charge, opps, 3.1/2 hrs, £70 in post, £35 pronto payment, checked dashcam for timings, correct, grrrrr

Is it possible they forgot their type 2 cable, but had the "Granny" lead with them ?.
This may explain the lead out of the window situation !.
