Symbols on Aircon Screen?

Does anyone know what the symbols circled in red on the air con screen mean?? Thanks in advance.

Links the passenger temperature setting to the drivers temperature setting.

We decided today on a run that it would be nice to sync the driver's and passenger's temperature setting, but couldn't see how to. Neither of those symbols was visible.

I think it only appears when the aircon is turned on?
