I am pretty sure that using anything that has the power to shift baked on tar, is extremely likely to have already removed any wax based polish, so reapplying is always a good idea.

Take a look at MKII fiestas where the petrol has run down the wing from the filler to confirm LOL.I am pretty sure that using anything that has the power to shift baked on tar, is extremely likely to have already removed any wax based polish, so reapplying is always a good idea.

Removing tar spots
Use white spirit to remove tar spots and stubborn grease stains from the paintwork. Then wash the area immediately with soapy water to remove all traces of the spirit.
