    Tar spatter

I know there are detailing threads around, but this is a very specific query. What's the easiest way to get tar spatter off paintwork? I just had Caliban hand-washed, and have only now realised how much tar spatter he's picked up over the winter. I can get each spot off with a fingernail, but...

    HS interior - cleaning products

Hi everyone, Hope this finds you well. Just wondered if anyone can recommend cleaning products and cloths for the HS. Would like to avoid the kind of smears/smudges in the photos (attached). This happened after using non-scented wipes on the aluminium effect parts and the lether sills. Thanks

    Random query

Hi All, I’ve just been reading through the owners manual and it says something about being careful when cleaning the car, specifically when using a jet washer. Given I used to take my old car somewhere that does use them I’m a bit cautious, has anybody had any problems, I don’t want to...

    Shiny! (Clean car)

Sunday morning well spent, cleaned inside and out. I do like the Supagard cleaning pack that came with the car. Have added some additional items over the past year to make cleaning a lot quicker and easier. Still got to try their Paint Seal cream that another member recommended.

    Cheap improvement? You decide.

Today I took the wheel trims off my Wifes Trophy LR & cleaned her wheels & tyres. I had ordered some centre caps off Ali express, they arrived via pigeon (3 weeks) & to my surprise they're identical to my x power wheel caps. Anyway point is - Does her car look better? OR should we leave the...

    Cleaning Matte Green Paint.

Hello, First post here so thought I'd make it a helpful one! Cleaning Matte Green Paint. I have been polishing my cars for as long as I can remember (old git) so was looking forward to my very recent purchase with matte paint as it should be much easier to look after. Trophy seat 'leather' wearing

Been giving the interior a good clean this afternoon and spotted some white spots on the drivers seat - on closer inspection it looks like bits of the fake leather have worn off. I certainly don't do anything rough with the seats! This seems a bit poor after 7 months :(

    Car Cleaning Products

I know that there are other threads on various aspects of car cleaning but I am particularly interested in what products people are using and how often you are cleaning your car. I have started watching a few detailing videos on YouTube and in particular a couple, one is a Canadian guy called...

    Cleaning the wheels…

…just a thought - is there a need to remove the wheel covers every so often to clean the alloys beneath? Wondering if a brake dust build up would eat into the surface of them otherwise. Any thoughts on this?

    Car Cleaning

I know not everyone cares the same amount for their cars bodywork. But for those that do, I recommend giving your new car a wash and wax or coating when you get it. This might just apply to the first batch of MG4s since they are fresh off the boat. But after picking up the MG4 today, I noticed...

    Cleaning the chrome trim.

Can anybody recommend a cleaning product to remove faint marks off the plastic chrome trims without scratching it or making it dull ? These marks look like water marks, most likely caused by a combination of the pre-cleaning stuff they spray on at the local hand car wash and SWMBO not washing...
