car wash
A car wash, carwash, or auto wash is a facility used to clean the exterior, and in some cases the interior, of cars. Car washes can be self-service, full-service (with attendants who wash the vehicle), or fully automated (possibly connected to a filling station). Car washes may also be events where people pay to have their cars washed by volunteers, often using less specialized equipment, as a fundraiser.
I know this has been covered before but I can't find the thread. Maybe I'm putting in the wrong search terms.
Anyway...
We have a cheap hand car wash a minute
away from us who used to do a brilliant job on our old non-EV. One of those car washes where you drive in, they cover it in snow foam...
With a break in the weather decided to give the car a wash and whilst preparing everything the car was sitting there with the DRLs illuminated . The front right (from the inside) remained cool to the touch, but the left hand side was quite warm on the upper segment of the LEDs whilst the other...

Hi guys,
I know automatic car-washes are the devil's own creation, but when you live in London your car gets COVERED in dust on the daily.
Is there anything you need to do to prepare the MG ZS EV for an automatic carwash? On my last car I had to unscrew and remove the radio aerial/antenna...
This isn't about damage caused by car washes - people's experiences and opinions differ. What is certain is that I've had cars that were always left with dirty patches. The shape of the panels prevented the brushes reaching all parts. With such a sculpted body, does the 4 suffer from the same...
Picking my Trophy up on Tuesday and want to put it through IMO's new ceramic wash. Should I take the wheel covers off as I'm worried the wheel brush will damage them?
Probably a silly question but is the 5 ok in an automated car wash given it has those roof bars (and I guess possibly the charge door could become unlatched by the brushes pressing against it?)
