I’ve owned it for two weeks. I love it. I have a late 2019 EV Exclusive with all the toys. It’s everything I could want in a car.

But…

The wheels look terrible. Not the wheels necessarily, but how sunk they are in the wheel-well; the offset just makes them looks lost.

This weekend I installed some 20mm spacers. I cannot believe how much such a small thing has improved the look of the car. The alloys fill the arches properly and the car looks so much better.

Relatively inexpensive, huge difference in the look of the car.

I’ll add some pictures when I can…

I believe so, yes. I used this site as a reference:

PCD is 5x112
Centre bore is 57.1

Hi
I like wheels that sit further out in the wheel arch it’s one of the reasons I put aftermarket wheels on my cars so I can get the offset I like
Adding wheel spacers is classed as a modification so let your insurance know of the modification otherwise your insurance could be void
???????

Just to add.

The old and new seems to have the same roof rails, i just bought Thule roof bars yesterday, i bought the ones specified to work on Mk1, and they work fine on Mk2 as well.

Interested to understand any negatives - so far I've noticed less understeer (which is expected from a wider track) in addition to it looking much better.

Hi again
Alb has has brought up a point which I have kind of come across with MG
I found I had a rattling coming from the rear passenger door
I took the cover plate off and found there was no plastic retainer to hold the screw in
I approached MG dealership where I got the car from they had a look and said that the door panels had been removed when they tinted my windows so they couldn’t do anything about it under warranty ☹️
I went back to the tinting place and they said there wasn’t one in when they removed the door card
So be carful if you take your car back with anything to do with steering, brakes etc
Maybe take the spacers off before it goes in for its service
???????

Spacing introduces skew forces that the wheel bearing was never designed to accommodate.
