The Naming of Cars is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a car must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

Ok blatantly plagiarised form T S Elliot, but I name them, always have so will keep this to my time being the custodian of an MG EV.

First there was to M4 X Power which was OMG, if you've driven one will make perfect sense, in sport mode for the first time thats what you screamed, albright without the shortening.

Then I added the BMW M3 to the stable, the other half was not impressed, particularly as its UK registration ended in MLF. "I'm not going out in that, people will call me a MILF" Without thinking I replied "oh sweetie, no one would ever call you a MILF" the 2 weeks of silence that followed was strange and rather nice so it was.

Given the M3's transformation ability initially he was named Optimus after Optimus Prime, unfortunately the MILF thing was in my mind and he became Oedipus, I really need to adjust my meds.

However I digress, when the new S6 arrived immediately he was Auric after the iconic Auric Goldfinger, yeah I loved the original Bond movies, so has your car got a name, tell all.....

I'm a bit tempted to merge this thread with the one linked below, but maybe it's time we went through it all again from the beginning.

Oh dear Cod no, don’t do it, 3 years have passed and when I was posting it, that one didn’t come up ***.

Only ever named 2 cars, way back in the day. A Volvo 240 was Frank the Tank.

* pics not my car as I never had a camera then.

Second car was Gus the Bus, A Citroen CX Familiale. 5 metres long, 3 rows of seats and still a large estate space. Travelling through France even the French drivers gave way. :)

Now that would make a great surfwagon!

I'm very original in my vehicle naming, the enamel orange Prius was "Taxi" because was an ex Brisbane taxi and that was why the sprayed over metallic green probably ever yr of it's life with enamel orange paint ..... but it was easy to find a parking lot ...... the wife hates me calling it that because it was her car when I got the Silver Prius

The '74 VW Kombi Campervan is "KOMBI" but also the "son of a female dog" when it's being had to get on with ......

The silver iTech Prius is " Silver Prius" the Winnebago motorhome is "Winnie" and the MG is either MG or Poverty Pack that really p*sses the wife off
All the rest are just by make really ....
About the only noteworthy one is the '80 Bedford bus we were converting into a motorhome .... it was known as "Rustic Inn Perfection" named by the wife because the first half of the project was removing all the rust I didn't uncover until I started, then each stage was just not quite how I'd wanted it to turnout, close but not perfect ....

Those Citroens were amazing, BBC used them when covering the Grand National, nothing else could handle the ground to provide stable live action of the race.
