Do you name your car? If so what did you call it?

MG4 XPOWER
I’m kinda boring, I had “The Juke”, “The i3”, “the i30” (affectionately AKA “The Big Blue Slug” after the i3 was so nippy)
“The MG4/The XPower” is AKA “The Turbo Tango”
No genders or anything, just descriptive but I know others do so if you’d like, share them and any story of origin 😊

(Hope this isn’t a duplicate post, I tried searching but searching for “name” in thread titles seems to return all threads heh)

I've answered this before, mostly because people were horrified by my car's name, but here goes again.

My first car, a 1985 Fiesta 1.1L, acquired the name Miranda during one rather impressive drive north up the M74 just before Christmas. Miranda means "she who is worthy to be admired".
My second car, a 1993 Fiesta XR2, obviously had to be Ferdinand to match.
My third, a 1998 Peugeot 306 GTi6, became Ariel, sticking with the theme.
My fourth, a 2009 VW Golf GTi mk6, was of course Prospero, at least partly because he seemed so staid and prosperous, but was a bit magic under it all.

At some point I remarked to nobody in particular that I was running out of names and it looked as if the next car was going to have to be Caliban. While I was going through the handover of my car with the dealer, he was setting up the app for me and asked me the car's name. Slightly giddy at the time (I was less than two weeks in from making the extremely sudden decision to buy and EV and it all went rather fast) I said, "Caliban".

And here we are. I declare that the name is ironic, or something.

MoleOurs is Jasper🥕! For those that know. 😉
Have you got a mole?

Reminds me of an off-colour joke my late business partner made.

"Oh Sir Jasper, please do not hurt me!"

You repeat that sentence eight times, but each time you leave off one more word from the end.

Gert Lush 🤣🤣🤣

Given this a lot of thought m8 and.............
No not really!
Ummm, Oh hang on a minute,
I had an Escort Cosworth called.....
"The Cossie" (OBVS🤣)
And I am racking my brains about other cars I've had but nothing comes to mind.
I think I've attributed "He" or "She" to some of them but just to join in I'm going to call my Xpower....................."The Viscount" 🤪

Ours is Leo, aka Goth Leo, to distinguish him from his predecessor, also Leo.

Our past includes The Wuzz, Xerxes, Ernie, Alfie, Gunther, Alfie II, Lucia, Angus, Ruairidh Mor, Mungo, Lucie 2, and Isabella.
That is quite an eclectic bunch you have there :) I like it.

I've never named any other car before this one, I just referred to them by their make or model, my morris Minor is just called "the Morris".
I only named the 4 because setting up the iSmart app asked me to, I just called it Tango, not very original I know, but it was the first thing that came to mind.

Not named this one yet. My wife used to have a Cinquecento called Jaffa Cake.
For a few years i had an MG ZT 190 that was called ZeberTee...
While i was waiting for the MG to be built had an old Mazda 6 Diesel that the kids called StinkyBeast :ROFLMAO: Other cars were "Stiletto", "The Executive Barge", and a Punto called "Perry"

Mine is called ERO, after the VRM. (That's why I created the thread below when I got it) :)
