I cannot find in the manual any reference to the switches/buttons on the console marked (P) and alongside it (A) - does anyone know what they do? Thanks in advance for any responses.

If you search 'Auto hold' on the forum here there's some good explanation. I don't use Auto hold but some find it useful. Many thanks, I will look up brake system in the manual

First put it in D for Drive, get it up to speed and then change into R for Racing to get more power. The "P" button will prime the ejector seat, and the "A" button means it is armed and ready to eject a person when pressed.
Nowadays cars are clever enough, that they will not let people do silly stuff like this.Let's hope no one actually does this!
No I'm not going to volunteer to test it either.Largely true! Although it does say in my handbook to make sure the vehicle has stopped before engaging reverse gear. Wouldn't like to test it.
