Things I have learned about the S6 today.

Sooo anyhoo, today I have been mostly sorting shit and having a play with the infotainment system sound. Yes the Trophy models benefit from an 11 speaker system which means a physically subwoofer is stored under the car’s polystyrene trim on the boot. Has been a few comments about the sound quality of the system so today I had a bit of a fiddle to get it set up for my personal preference.

Stage one, the equaliser, went for a custom setting, went for increased bottom end and decreased top.

Moved on to the positioning, given the subwoofer is in the boot ditched turning off the rear and moved the position slightly behind the front seats and towords the driver, made a big difference IMPO.

It’s a personal preference, and while not pèfect, lot better than standard, turn the music up!!

Ah! That's interesting. I'd moved the positioning forward, roughly level with my ears. The reasoning being the kids don't like Radio 4 or Classic FM... and they've always got their headphones on/in anyway the moment they get in the car. I'll try that. I do appreciate in normal set-ups that it doesn't matter where the sub-woofer goes, but I'd have thought it better placed under one of the cabin seats than in the boot.

Agree about sub woofer, being sound is multi directional in theory should work from the boot and has a bigger area to expand from but give me under seat any time.

Be interested to hear what you think with repositioning.
