Things I have learned about the S6 today.

I’ve also had previous experience of the feature, can’t believe it’s not mentioned in the key functions in the owners manual, the M3 has it, and a bit more. 🥳

Impressive, definitely a car park or at the lights, show stopper. Nice motor and great colour combo. 🙂👍

Funnily enough I just did mine an hour ago in prep for it's journey to Brighton and London over half-term week from tomorrow. But I did mine the old-fashioned way, with a sponge and the Supagard shampoo. The pesky birds roosting in the oak tree have been using my S6 for target practice! If it weren't for those deposits I'd put up with the mud and let the copious rain wash it free of mud... I'm not one for washing my car(s)!!
Bird crap can really screw up paintwork with the stomach acids in it, so much so If I get any it’s removed straight away with waterless wash and wax, any amount of companies make it these days.

I find washing a car therapeutic not a chore, I’m sad that way. 😝

Agree. And if they've been eating Blackberries, your really in the Shit, so to speak. Don't laugh, it's true. 🙄🤪

Hi Giller
Re the windows opening it’s known as Lazy Lock function most modern vehicles feature it and many MG models have it my MG 5 trophy does also but for your reference the screenshot here is from the MGS6 manual and instructions page 91 hope it helps you understand it better.
Les
Thanks for that, found similar in S6 manual, buried away, must keep reading. 🥴

Yes. Appreciate that. That's why I was 'forced' to wash it. I've got some stuff specifically for that in the Supagard pack, and some stuff for the alloys... which I might use on the Disco 3!

Picked up our MGS6 Trophy LR today, love this car 😎. Had ZSEV LR for the last 4 yrs and that was great until I saw the 6 hiding in the showroom last week. Love how big it is for the money.

On my ZSEV I could bind the iSmart app for both myself and the wife (2 separate smartphones), however the S6 wants me to unbind the first user (me) before allowing me to bind a second user. What have others done?

Edit: Fixed it, just send an invite to the second person from the iSmart app

Today I had my first longer trip with the car, crossing the border to Sweden to do some shopping. I charged the car fully over night. It's almost exactly 100km one way so 200km round trip (65 miles). Weather was varied, with snow, fog but mostly sunshine, ice and snow on the road and temperatures between - 2 and - 6 degrees. I used heated stearing wheel and heated seats, as did 2 of 3 passengers.
When I was back home, I had 48% remaining, meaning a usable range of 380-390 km (about 240 miles) in those conditions. Not bad imo.

I noticed that the sun visor is a bit too narrow, and left a gap to the left (would be on the right for right hand drive) that was a bit annoying, as the sun is very low here now. Other than that, the car drives wonderful, and drives like a train in winter conditions. Feels very solid on the road, and behaves well, with pretty good feel of what the tires are doing on slippery surfaces.

Excellent. Which mode were you driving in out of interest?

Headlights are pretty bad. I mean, the light output is good, but the reach is 20-25 meters too short with low beam. It's fine in the city and for driving at 50-60 kph, but when you go rural, and drive at 80-90, they just don't light up nearly as far as they should! Heard complaints about the high beam, but I think those are just about ok. I will fit a light bar anyway, but the low beam is terrible. Wonder if it's possible to adjust it slightly to get it to illuminate a tad further?
