Things I have learned about the S6 today.

I've set up the custom mode option on mine to use the sport mode option with normal mode, use it often and does not effect efficiency which is nice. :)
Well, I did floor it TBH... and I was climbing a 1:6 to 1:4. Dropped from around 3.7 or 3.8 mi/kWh to 3.1 mi/kWh when I might have expected it to drop just to 3.4 mi/kWh in Comfort and more sedately. So, perhaps not an ideal comparative test.

Today I learned that even with the controversial covers on the 20” wheels of the Trophy you can still get access to the barrels for cleaning, which is nice.

I thought I was having a déjà vu moment with this post, then realised you had posted very similar on Friday.
So glad I'm not going daft😂

Hi Giller
Re the windows opening it’s known as Lazy Lock function most modern vehicles feature it and many MG models have it my MG 5 trophy does also but for your reference the screenshot here is from the MGS6 manual and instructions page 91 hope it helps you understand it better.
Les
my wife's MG4 trophy doesn't seem to have it, could it be in a menu somewhere

For the first time I actually used the air con and the cooling seats as the sun is out and things are heating up, the seats felt rather strange initially, but in a good way. :)

Today I tried the inbuilt sat nav which was not only pretty good but the blue chevron drectional “arrows” in the hud are very nice indeed.
Nice, so if you use inbuilt Nav you get HUD info but if use Apple Maps you don't? So next question, can you use CarPlay and inbuilt Nav at the same time?

My problem with the in built Nav is that the screen is too dark. In general I prefer the Dark theme over the Light theme for the 2 displays, but this seems to force the Sat Nav to use the night Settings for the maps which is way too dark for daytime use. Anyone found a way around this?

Dark and light are just theme settings rather than day and night. I much prefer dark but when I use CarPlay CarPlay displays as it does on my phone, the nav is light. Could be worth checking CarPlay on your phone to see if there are options.

Only time mine would change is when the cars lights are on.

Sorry misread the original post, yes it’s the inbuilt na if you're using dark, but you can adjust light settings.

I have now found that the S6 is a bit feisty, when I inadvertently caused her ( female voice) to ask if I wanted to delete the “programme” and shouted “CANCEL” she responded “ ok, I’m not deaf” 😱
