Things I hope they fix!

Numbers 2, 4 & 6 are some of my absolute bug bears with the car. I's add the ability to turn off ACC and just maintain 'standard' cruise as well.

For no. 9, you do know that you can turn off auto lights on the light stalk don't you?
Yes that is a good point - I had the same bug bear with my old Mondeo, although the ACC was awful on that! At least the MG is a little more smooth so far!

Yes - I would prefer the off switch have the option of staying off though, rather than resetting on each time (but that is just my not liking the headlights coming on every time I go under a bridge!)

Yeah, but the car is at an awkward angle to be able to see if from the house, and using the Ismart, app takes so long, that i could put on clothes, go through the house and walk around the car 4 times, before the app had connected :)

I will have to see if i can find the option that according to Gazza will stop the car honking when i try to lock it, while it is already locked. :)

Have used the CCTV camera a few times to see if the mirrors are folded. (They always are, it's just a bit of OCD on my part, that i need to lock the car before going to bed :) )
I have heard a few people comment about the speed of the app, I have no trouble with using it and it’s always responsive. It would be interesting to know why some have issues. I have iPhone 11 and use either wifi or mobile data with no issue, the longest I have waited for it to do something is around 6- 8 seconds

Im on android, maybe the problem is only with the android app.

At the best of times it takes 30 seconds to connect, but most times i need to "reload" to get it to update.

Average connection time is approx 1 minute i would say.

I would like to be able to turn off the "Find my locked car by pressing the lock button on the keyfob" feature.

I used to have this night routine where, right before i went to bed, i would just click the lock button on the key to make sure the car is locked, without having to look at the car.

On the old car, it would just flash the blinkers to indicate "Command received" and if the car was locked, it would just stay that way.

On the ZS EV, if the car is locked and you press lock it will start honking the horn, to alert you to it's position i guess.

THAT one gets me every time, and the car will start honking away in the driveway late at night, probably much to the neighbors dismay, until i "unlock and relock the car" :)
If the setting to stop the honking doesn't work, you could just modify your routine slightly. Instead of locking it as you're heading to bed, you could just unlock and then lock it. If it was locked, it will still end up locked, without the noise and if it was unlocked it will still end up locked.

I'm also on android, and it takes about 10 seconds to get all the info on app.
Did you try to reinstall the app?

Offcourse, i just need to adjust and adapt.

I had a quick rummage around in the menu and did not find the setting, so i might have to just read the 200 page user manual to figure out how :)

Wow, definitely sounds like an android issue then, because in less than 30 seconds I can open the app, check the battery state, return to the main screen, refresh the vehicle status and scroll through all items of the vehicle and close the app back down. I took a screen shot video on my phone showing all this, but unfortunately can't upload it due to server file size limitations.

No, from what i have read, numerous users have the same problem, and i have not read any of those having any luck, the app scores 1.8 of 5 and atleast 75% are 1 star reviews.

Also the app has not been updated since january.

Yes, i found out 15 minutes ago, when i wanted to check the version number.

After the update the app is very fast, takes 4 seconds from opening until it has a connection.

I even tried force closing, to be sure it would also "cold boot" the app and still, 4 seconds.

That's one big annoyance crossed off of the list. :)

I am using a IPhone 12 and I don’t have to wait for the App to load either.
Maybe it is an Android thing then ?.

It seems that a lot of "bugs" are resolved or negated by simply reading the manual or spending time being curious and working through settings etc. This doesn't only apply to this thread but to many many threads on the forum.
This is fine of course as it is the nature of group forums where folks have an interest and use it it th help each other. However, it can be a bit irksome when folks claim to have a "fault" or "bug" when it is mostly down to education and getting to know their car a bit better. The habit to criticise first and then have the moment of "oh, I didn't know that, thanks" when folks reply helps perpetuate some negativity and inaccurate impressions when scanning through thread subjects.
Case in point seems to be the consensus that the sat nav is no good, better to use your phone - mostly this is I suspect, because people know how to use their phone because its in their hand a lot of the time. How many therefore will spend the time and work through the settings on the cars sat nav? Try it maybe, you might be surprised to find that it's perfectly competent and actually pretty good. But that's not what the "word on the street" is right? So it can't be true?

Anyhoo, when in doubt or questioning why is this so - read the manual, be curious, spend time, try the settings or as seems to work here ask and someone will reply helpfully and sometimes refer to a page(s) in the manual.....:ROFLMAO:
Well said I totally agree with your comments.

I regret that I only have one thumbs up to give you. I've been surprised by the number spending this amount of money on something, yet not having even looked up basics beforehand - this is where some dealers take advantage, I think.

I appreciate that not everyone is internet or forum savvy (for want of a better term) and they genuinely don't know what to do, but a lot of time it does seem the path of least effort is taken - it's easier and quicker to clutter the board and start another thread (iSmart is a good example) than it is to utilise what's right there.

There are those though, that need things to be spelled out in a really straightforward way in order to be able to just take in the information - certain parts of the manual could really benefit from more user friendly English. I thought it'd be helpful if there was a pinned post specific to the mk2 with links to the manuals, a basic FAQ & instruction on how to do a forum search. I did start to draft something, then decided there's no point to waste my time as it'd go unread like so many of the existing threads.
