Things that make you go Arrrgghhh

Some of them around my area, you drop into potholes if you take them 'properly.' Most people only do that if there's something coming the other way, if it's clear they go round the 'wrong' way to avoid the pothole and I don't blame them at all. The police do it too, when they think nobody's watching.

You're still supposed to make an effort to go around it
(y) HC says.. "All vehicles MUST pass round the central markings except large vehicles which are physically incapable of doing so"
Official Rules say.. "a vehicle proceeding through the junction must keep to the left of the white circle at the centre of the marking provided... unless the size of the vehicle or the layout of the junction makes it impracticable to do so."

If someone sounded their horn at me and I had made a mistake, I'd be the first to admit it and apologise, I wouldn't go all testosterone on them!

Are you saying most drivers would get upset to the point of yelling, getting out, or worse, if they were honked at?
I'm not saying anything but may I counter with - do you think that sounding your horn at someone definitely won't upset them, and bearing in mind what a growing number of society are like these days......

Also to mention that it is technically illegal to sound your horn for the reasons you have remarked upon.
'It's illegal to use your horn when stationary. Additionally, you shouldn't use your horn aggressively or for any reason other than warning other road users'

Old drivers who should know better trying to brake check after pulling out on from a roundabout and don’t like being honked

But I was warning them that they are being a plonker - honest officer ;)

I agree. I do follow those rules. Most often, I used the horn to remind people who were not paying attention that the lights had changed, but even then, I would pull forward a little so I was moving while the horn pipped. But even then, things got super-aggressive!

Two people in front of me at the lights a few years ago were out of their cars arguing about something. Things looked like they were going to come to blows but when the lights changed I gave them a quick toot. That gave them both the excuse they needed to back down and we all went on our merry way.
