Not an MG
My wife and I test drove a GT yesterday; what a lovely beast! Only disappointment was how MG have managed to arrange things so the steering wheel partially obscures the outermost dash displays.

Has anyone got any words of warning before we pull the trigger? We've had an EV6 for nearly three years so are familiar with the ins and outs of electric vehicles and already have a home charger installed.

Indeed! The dealer even has a GT in stock in the colour we wanted but we resisted the urge to place a deposit to give us a chance to see what other deals might be available elsewhere.

Cheapest used right now is around £46995 for Trophy. If you want new some discounts floating about. They're offering 0% with huge deposits in some places
As you say, we were offered 0% finance but with a huge deposit. I think it was 50% (!) but my hearing's a bit dodgy and we weren't very interested in such a deal as it'll be a company purchase.

You heard right 🤣. Crazy money indeed. Lease costs are high too. Some new ones floating about 57k (yellow one at Epsom) 50% means MG won't be waiting long for a chunk of the money. That deposit would be lost in 36-48 months anyway. Can low ball them. Never know. Standard interest was 8.9...maybe they would do 6.9...

This car will probably go the way of F type. Sitting in high 20s to mid 30s post 4 years depending on trim.

That Autotrader offer appears to be a great deal; my wife wants to call them and put down a deposit without delay!
We were actually offered a discount on Wednesday, but only 3%. The problem is, this was conditional upon us buying it personally rather than our limited company. Not sure why.

The yellow one at epsom has been sitting around 6 months. Id low ball the guy and see if theyre doing 0% offer. Offer him 55k at a low interest or zero percent rate. Id be shocked if they say no. Cars sitting and shaving £2,900 wont kill anyone. Buying now things have changed and dealers need to play along to get cars moving.

Cybersters are being added to Autotrader daily itll soon hit 100...which if 25-30% of all Cybersters. Unless these are new in... Something has to give 😆. Winter will be interesting.

Personally maybe because they get all the money no matter if you sell or keep it. But not sure why limited would be different as its not a lease deal. Could it be to do with tax reasons and interest rates rules. Company = charge more maybe 🤔
