Finally! Gonna fit me new alloys. But first job, painting the brake hub.

Jacked up.

Gonna do 2 today and 2 tommorow, at one time would've done all 4 in a day. But
now 2 will do. There's no rush. 🙂👍

Aluminium spigot rings, ready to fit.

Back hub now painted. A lot quicker than the front, even though it's bigger.
Tried a little experiment and it worked brilliantly, was gonna do it on the front but forgot. 🙄 After rubbing down the hub, went over the whole hub with a permanent marker pen as a sort of undercoat. The black paint then went on easier and if you do happen to miss a tiny bit, it won't show, worked a treat. 🙂👍

Permanent marker pen.

All done, hubs painted, new wheels on.
Torqued up to 120 Nm. All went surprisingly smoothly. Jesus never came once. 🙄 Used the original bolts and plastic covers as they were perfect. Only one slight disappointment the MG centre caps didn't fit the new wheels (To small)
so I've ordered some more. 🙂👍
So anyway, here it is.

First drive out, since fitting the new wheels. Very pleased to report, no problems whatsoever. I know in theory there shouldn't be, but I'm always a bit wary, on the 1st drive. My X Power never had the dreaded Vibes, and it still hasn't.
In fact, dare I say it drives even better.
Also no problems with the TPMS, which I was a bit worried about. All in all a good result. 🙂👍
