Why not simply submit readings into Mywatts, you would then get an accurate bill while the metering is sorted out.As one of the "earlier" movers to Tomato Energy and who has a SMETS 1 meter (so no "real" consumption data available to TE) all my bills have been estimated. The earliest ones had the required discounts for late billing (I received no bills until July 2025) but all my bills since May have been at "full" price, and actual consumption (as shown on my HUGO Pro app) was rather less.

Be careful if TE do change your meter, I have seen comments from a couple of people that they have installed 'half hour' meters, this is bad news for consumers because youre precluded from several suppliers - Octopus being one of them.
Ah yes, I forgot that aspect, youre right, probably not.I've never tried that because, of course, MyWatts has never "worked" for me. But can you submit readings that show the different "time of day" usage and hence tariffs? When I looked at the app it seems to offer only the option to submit the latest overall figure.
Half Hour meter is bad news, I inherited one with my shop and it's impossible so far to get it downgraded to a SMETS2 smart meter. When you attempt to get quotes for energy supply 50% or more of companies wont quote due to half hour meter. Thanks for the heads-up on this! Though Customer Care were extremely vague about when or whether they would ever seek to change my meter.
