I am looking for actual experiences but also just own opinions around using a travel bag set in the trunk.

The one i found has two rows, each with 3 bags of different size and should be using the volume of the MG4 trunk as best possible. That is according to the marketing.

The pros for me would be bringing in the 6 bags in total into our home and having a physical limitation of what we can pack for a long holiday. Just basically saying: This is our luggage space for clothes, shoes, gifts, anything really. After that, there is no more room.

Main cons would be having bags that are not used too often and the price.

What would you suggest?

It's up to you but I would go for a couple of large duffel bags which can be had from Amazon for under £30 each, a set of vacuum clothes bags for clothing so they take up less space, and a couple of backpacks.

I'd not buy anything bespoke to do this. Normal bags can be made to fit efficiently with a little trial and error.

Agree. Couldn't be arsed with them, and certainly not at that price. Bespoke luggage is ok, for niche cars with little luggage space, Cyberster perhaps. But certainly not the MG4. As said a few decent hold alls, would do the job nicely.
🙂👍

They seem expensive, but on the other hand that is six items of luggage. If the quality is good and the bags robust and durable they could be worth it. It's a hard thing to judge from pictures though. They're also very smart and would look good either being unloaded at a hotel or on airport luggage carriers. Three have wheels, for easy transport in the airport or elsewhere and I think the others have backpack straps. They seem well designed and practical.

I like them. The reason I wouldn't buy them is that they have far more capacity than I would ever need. But for a family I could see them being really good. If you're attracted to the concept and can afford them, why not? Live a little.

Think there is a difference between living a little, and just wasting money. But as always, it's each to their own. And I'm only giving my opinion. 🙂👍

As am I. I think that's what the OP wants, a range of opinions to help him make up his mind. A good, durable set of luggage isn't going to be wasted money, and if he's attracted to the neatness of the concept I don't see why not.

In fact, thinking about it, the price reassures me a bit. Cheap suitcases can be a false economy because they can't take the wear and the handling and you end up having to buy new ones fairly soon. Something a bit more pricey might be a decent investment in the longer term.

Yep, as said. Different opinions, I'll stick with mine, on this particular thread. 🙂👍

Seems like the solution to a problem that never existed.

Cheap can be a pro as well, don't get me wrong. If it is sturdy and a nice fit.

On the other side, i have an L and XL Samsonite ultralight suitcases that each cost as much as the set, but those 2 together don't fit in the boot. Their price/quality is amazing though and i loose only 1 kg when paying per kilogram for a flight.

I like the range of ideas shared here. What i don't like about sturdy suitcases is exactly the sturdines. The ones i have (not the IKEA blue) a
seem way too fragile.

But i have never seen something like those IKEA blue bags that got shared above, will definitely hunt them down.

Still open to more sugestions and ideas.

Unrelated, i just took a look at a MG5S but could not test drive it. So, atleast bespoke sets seem less of a solution in case i swap the car, not that i actively want to, the MG4 is amazing for us, except the boot 😀
