No Idea......I wondered if they would be refurbished by MG and reused to settle other warranty claims?

I was told by the MG dealer when mine was changed that they ad to take a grinder to them and then scrapped and under no circumstances should they go back on another car.

Good news. Any idea what happened to the old ones?

The Dealer usually has to keep hold of any warranty items for 6 months or so (just in case ), then it's up to the Dealer to dispose of them, in most cases it'll mean skipping them, but I'm sure a set of alloys will end up in one of the mechanic's garages until they have a use (vehicle) for them.

The Alloys on my MG5 74 plate which were changed in May 2025 under warranty with white spot issues are already also showing signs of white spot again the MG Dealer are looking into the issue but wasn’t sure on the procedure with having a warranty claim on a warranty claim the dealer is going to get back to me with a answer.

What a joke! I hope that’s not a sign of what’s to come for the rest of us who’ve made claims?

Normally parts replaced under warranty run to the timescale of the originally replaced parts. i.e. consider them to be the originals.

That's true, but then you have to consider the CRA 2015.

Products must be of satisfactory quality, safe, and fit for purpose, meeting reasonable expectations regarding durability.

If the replacement wheels, for example, are only 3 months old and are deteriorating, they are not fit for purpose.

Providing they've not been dragged along the kerb.
