Trying to set up the Tesla app so that I can charge my Mg4 at an "open to all" supercharger

....and so far with limited success. I have managed to download the Tesla app and create an account, but what do I do when I have done this? I can find nothing in any of the menus to enable me to set up a system of payment or to tell it that I will be using an MG4. Everything in the app refers just to Teslas. Am I missing something? Have I downloaded the correct app? Is there more than 1?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
 
I thought I was getting somewhere but no. I did manage to get into a menu item to let me set up my credit card details, but now the app won't let me sign in!! I put in my email and password and it simply returns me to the sign in page. I eventually managed to get in again but only by changing my password. I am getting thoroughly confused by it all. Now it is asking me to reset my password --- again. Can anyone help.. Please!!!

Login
Add payment details
From Home select the hamburger menu then select Charging
Select Vehicle Details and then click the + to add a vehicle
Choose the Other option for the Make (as MG is no longer in the list).
Click Save

That should be it. From the home screen select Charge Your EV and it'll only show the charger sites compatible with the selected vehicle.

I can't help with login issues, sorry.

Thank you for your instructions, but what is the hamburger menu? I am seriously wondering whether this is worth the hassle! I can't find the "Select Vehicle Details option anywhere
I am getting more frustrated by the minute.

It doesn't seem to be possible to set up your vehicle as an MG4 any longer, but the app still lets you charge. I had to delete it and re-install it and set up a new payment method while standing beside the car (swearing) at Fort William. Actually though I got it all done without much hassle. Then the guy next to me with a Tesla said, oh is there an app? I said, "You don't need an app if you have a Tesla!" in slightly incredulous tones, but he then said that they had two cars with them and the other one was a non-Tesla. So I then had to walk him through it!

Just rushed into the app to check. It seems to still have no all my story correct including the Berlingo.

Full disclosure, i have a Tesla so YMMV

When i set it up i made an account on the Tesla website and entered the card data on that page as far as i remember.

Maybe if this gives you trouble, try logging into the Tesla page with your login details from the app, adding the CC info there.

I have managed to set up an account and enter my credit card details, but now when I sign in the app simply returns me to the sign in page. I know the password that I am using is correct, but even if I go through the "forgot password" route and create a new one, I still can't get past the sign in page. Hmmmmm.

Have you uninstalled the app and started again. Once I am logged in mine stays logged in.

I believe the advice was targeted at the person having the issue ... I find the best approach is to delete cache/data, uninstall the app, reboot the phone then reinstall the app, then login ... that's the best way to address issues such as that reported. :)
