So I ordered a car through a very reputable lease company , and this is in no way anything bad about them at the beginning of August, i got a great deal on it and it was all processed very smoothly indeed.

At the time the dealer ( who they havn't told me who it is yet ) advised that the car was instock and i could have it 1st week September, Received all the updates advising car expected at dealer the week before . then a couple of days later received an email stating that expected delivery to the dealership would be the 22nd September for delivery this week .

Guess what ive had that same email again advising delivery expected into dealer end of October .

Im not that famililiar with MG dealers , but in my head weve gone from a car in stock by a dealer wo 2 month later the car being expected .

Whats the chances im getting bumped by whoever the dealer is due to the car being offered/ sold to a retail customer?

Really frustrating as my old lease car went back last week :(. If i had been made aware 12 weeks i would have planned accordingly.

Sorry to hear about that, hope it's sorted ASAP.

Meanwhile.

To the forum. 🙂👍

Thank you, Ive been advised somthing which i find comical, but who knows. Apparently all the Red cars were on another ship which is due to dock soon. is this the type of crazy thing MG would do ?

Just a bit of an update , well it would seem ive been delayed again until mid December. Unfortunatley now looking to source another car as i don't have confidence that will happen. The supplier was told to me as Marshalls of Nottingham . No reason , just that its been delayed

Thats a shame, my dealer contacted me on Wednesday to say that my Phev was now sat at Portbury awaiting customs clearance, but there was a holdup with the paperwork. Maybe mine will be sat there until December .....

I ordered a white phev 7 weeks ago and once they had my 1000 deposit they told me it was in stock - but not on site, but it would be a 4 week wait. Apparently 'in stock' means its been ordered by them, but is actually located anywhere between here and China! It's finally due to be at the dealers on Monday, so hopefully this time next week I will have it ! Interesting that they can't seem to get enough stock to sit on a forecourt - maybe they are selling well despite what the ice drivers would have you believe?

Thanks - TBH I'm no car fan - they have to be reliable and get me from a to b without breaking down and as economically as possible - the 75 mile on electric swung it for me. I WFH and any journeys for work I do 95% via train, so hopefully I can run it on fresh air ! (I have solar panels as well on the old feed in tariff, so the government (the public really) pay me to charge the car!) Went for white as I'm not into paying extra for a different colour ! - and they do look ok in white !

Oh and I am putting a towbar on it so I can tow my caravan, so hopefully feed some info back as to how it gets on - which might be useful for others thinking about towing?

Yes mine is white and looks fab as a standard colour and it’s pearlescent as well.
Luckily ours was only a week behind schedule so I do feel for those of you who are having to wait , you won’t be disappointed it’s a lovely vehicle.
