Tyre - slow puncture

I have a slow puncture in the nsr tyre of my pre-facelift LR. A tyre fitter has advised me that they cannot repair it because it is in the shoulder of the tyre and they are unable to locate an exact replacement. The tread is good and I always prefer to keep tyres paired on an axle. The tyre is a Bridgestone Ecopia E422 plus. Does anyone know of a source for these ? Alternatively, has anyone used tyre sealant on a slow puncture for an extended period (until I need to replace both rear tyres) ?

In the same circumstances I'd go for a pair of something different.
Having said that, I've actually got a full size spare OEM rim and tyre for my own car so I could tolerate such a loss.
