Under body rear plastic panel broken and dragging

Started my commute to work yesterday to weird grinding sound underneath towards rear. Anyway short commute and late for work so after checking tires carried on. Grinding a bit louder reversing into my spot.
After work looked under and found that a plastic panel that stretches from where the rear diff would be to the back of car was hanging down, split centrally and dragging.
Anyway managed to bend the two parts to hang over a lip and stay up. Off to dealers tomorrow. Only had it month or so.
Has anyone else similar issue?

That'll be the rear undertray. Someone else has had theirs ripped off, going through deep puddles.

Did you have the drooping undertray problem on your car?

Is this the third or the fourth? These undertrays are just asking for trouble.

I thought this was a problem with some of the Gen 1 models and it had been fixed. Sounds like yours is a Gen 2 if it's only a month old.

Someone the other day said he'd been in his dealer's and had looked at the models in the showroom and they all had it.

Sounds like an opportunity for someone to make an aftermarket replacement undertray.

This is a thread about someone who had his undertray replaced because of this issue, worth a read. There are references to this in several threads, as it has been an issue from the beginning, and MG simply keep supplying cars with warped undertrays because most people don't look under their cars.

Yup, there was a deep puddle prior to me noticing it the first time.
